3 Questions to Ask if You're Trying to Find Your Passion

Often times, we don't allow ourselves (adequate) time to actually figure ourselves out. More times than not, we happen upon our passions through happenstance and exploration. But, discovering our passion, and ultimately our purpose, should (and can be) more intentional. So here are 3 questions I asked myself when learning to live unapologetically through my passions:
Question#1 If money was not an issue, what would I do with my time?
Financial security/stability is the motivator for many of the things we put time and energy into. And for a significant number of people, the thing that providers financial security (our career) does not always align with the things that fulfill our passions (or our purpose). We have to spend time on those things that we want to devote ourselves to; and not only those things we may feel forced to invest our efforts in.
Question#2 What makes me forget?
If I am passionate about something, I can talk about that thing at the drop of a dime! I will tell anyone with a set of ears and a willingness to listen (Who am I kidding? Willingness is not even a requirement...)! When I am doing something I am passionate about, I lose track of time. I get so wrapped up that I forget to eat and take a bathroom break. Sometimes it seems that I am so indulged that I have to remind myself to breathe. What is the thing that no only wakes you up, but awakens your soul and spirit?
"No one really knows why they are alive until they know what they'd die for." – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Question #3 What do I love? No...REALLY love?
This may seem like an obvious, duh... if you knew what you loved, you'd likely know your passion, right? But, think back. What are the things that make your heart smile? What things bring you happiness? What are the thing you would do simply because you enjoy doing them?
Set it AFLAME!
Our passion is often like a spark just waiting to be ignited and explode. They should burn within and excite you! When living unapologetically, you must find (and pursue) those things that create that spark!
This is really good stuff! You made is sound so simple. Which after reading simple small moves create great waves! Thanks, Dee!
