and giver of two cents!

Now for the boring stuff: Adellaide “Dee” Heard earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of Oklahoma; and her master’s degrees in Human Relations as well as Integrated Health and Human Services.  She is a licensed professional counselor with nearly twenty years of experience in the mental health setting.  She currently lives in her passion of helping others as psychotherapist.  But her passion for reaching others extends well beyond the confines of therapy.   

 

Adellaide discovered public speaking came easy.  Though not her preference, Adellaide has the ability to connect with her audience and confidently share her knowledge on a variety of topics.   She has been fortunate to present in both small venues as well as larger platforms.  Ms. Heard is versatile, however, she is most dynamic in small groups and intimate settings where the audience has the opportunity for verbal exchange and personal interaction.   

 

As a published author of both fiction and non-fiction, Adellaide uses writing as another tool to fulfill her purpose and share her wealth of knowledge, humor and advice.  She strives to connect with the reader through realistic and relatable romance novels as well as speaking to her readers with down to earth “self-help” books, journals, and guided worksheets.

Keeping in line with her purpose, Adellaide is the founder of Fundamental Counseling and Consultation as well as JLee Publishing.  So, when she is not coaching, counseling, consulting, writing (or being a wonderful mother and great sister/friend), Adellaide enjoys sitting on her patio in front of the firepit with some smooth jazz playing in the background.
